Pelosi demands Rove's resignation, hints at a larger WH conspiracy!!!
The American people deserve the truth about who in the White House recklessly disclosed the identity of a CIA clandestine service officer, endangering our national security. The first President Bush called it a traitorous act to reveal the names of those involved in intelligence collection.

The President said two years ago that he wanted to get to the bottom of this. If he were sincere, it would have happened. For two years, there has been an investigation that did not reveal Karl Rove's involvement until a reporter went to jail. It looks to me that there may have been some effort by people in the White House to obstruct the investigation.

The President has said that anyone who leaked the identity of Ms. Plame should no longer be part of his Administration. The American people and Congress expect the President to keep his word. That means firing Karl Rove and anyone else in the White House if they identified her as a CIA clandestine service officer.

Disclosing Ms. Plame's identity is a deadly serious matter and the Republicans in the House of Representatives should be having hearings on this subject. But they have not held the Bush Administration accountable in any way on any subject, be it the budget, our national security, the war in Iraq, Abu Ghraib, the list goes on. The Administration has gotten off scot-free without any oversight from the Congress. The American people deserve better."

6. Nice
It seems to be that way. I keep thinking of two different possibilities of why Rove hasn't been fired. Either a) they were all involved and he's trying to protect them or b) they can't survive without him. I personally think Rove is hyped up more then what he is after watching "Bush's Brain". All Rove is is a trickster. He's not even a genius. To call Rove a genius, to me, is an insult to real geniuses. So something else is going on behind the scenes I think. It would be interesting to see what would happen if Bush backed away from Rove. I read in another thread here in GD that appears to be happening. So if Rove feels dumped and thrown out by Bush maybe he'll talk and squeal. I think there were more people involved because Rove didn't have any special job title until last year a few days after the election. I remember thinking how strange it was for him to be promoted to deputy chief of staff when all he's supposed to be is an advisor to Bush. Know what I mean? So something else is definitley going on. I also read when this started becoming more public recently that there was some group dealing with Iraq formed and Rove, Cheney, Rice and a few other people in the administration were involved in this group. Could they possibly have done it? Could this really bring down the Bush administration? There has to be some reason why they're not fully corporating. I think it's to save their own asses.

9. Rep. Pelosi Is Quite Right, Sir
Both to make this statement, and to declare that there is, in fact, a conspiracy to cover-up the agents of this crime in the White House.

11. Dems know they have obstruction of justice
and perjury on Rove. But I also think they probably are getting wind of the wider implication of this. Watch what the key players say in the next few days ahead for signals.
