Bernie Ebbers gets 25 in the slammer. Now maybe Martha's stay wasn't so
much.

I **still** think Martha Stewart was railroaded, pure and simple. Although I was never a fan of hers, I have **always** been a fan of fairness.

And with that fairness in mind, Ebbers got off light.

When shitbirds callously screw people over, they deserve every damn bit of what they get. How many reitrees now have to go back to work because Bernie cost them their life savings.

So when does Ken Lay, a shitbird among shitbirds, get his? Life without parole, anyone?

1. Maybe For Skilling
Skilling and Fastow will do the hard time. Lay proabably insulated himself with plausible deniability and do some light time.

The other thing to mention about Ebbers; THEY TOOK THE MONEY! They left him with a modest house for his wife, 2 cars, furniture, and about $60k. Mrs. Ebbers is gonna be having to get a job!

This has been the problem the whole time with securities and bank fraud. A slap on the wrist and they keep the cash. Some people will risk a few years in a minsec prison to walk away with $30 million. Ebbers doesn't get to keep the cash.

3. Who is they? In "they" took the money?
I watched the special on PBS about the CitiBank Salmon Smith telecom scandal. And I think that Bernie was a patsy in the stockholder defrauding scam. D ; )

that he didn't know wjhat was going on. I wish his trial would be sooner and we all know why it is taking so long (shrub)

2. In Ebber's case should be without parole, full time served....
...means what he'll be 80 when he is finished serving? He can then use the $11 billion he stole to get a new body or be cryogenically preserved. NO PAROLE EVER FOR THIS BASTARD!
