...After our normal game of cop haters vs. the fascists over in breaking news an undiscussed facet of this event occurred to me:The police had a tip he would rob a bank (hence surveillance) and fully expected him to both possess AND use it during the commission of this crime.He was to the best of their knowledge a FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM-which itself is a federal felony!!!Get this-they felt they had-dead to rights-a predicate felon on federal charges ,but INSTEAD decided they would go for the grand slam and get him for armed robbery instead,and SAT THERE and let him enter a bank full of civilians heedless of the possible bloodbath and then had the chutzpah to shoot him dead when one of THEM felt threatened!!! I knew when I posted to the late breaking thread that something bothered me with the entire scenario-this is what it was.Reprehensible.
