4. It will be interesting to see |
|
Certainly Bush is extraordinarily loyal to his associates, but if he perceives either a hint of disloyalty, or that he might be damaged by somebody's actions he will drop him in a New York minute. Remember that Ken Lay went from bosom buddy to "Ken who?" very quickly.

7. I imagine it will be a tough call for GWB |
|
I'd put my money on him sticking with Rove and trying to spin and lie their way out of it. After all, he stuck with Tenet & Rumsfeld through times when they really should have been fired, among others. Rove is almost like a co-president in this administration.
I must admit, it would be VERY interesting to see how GWB performed without Rove at his side...

5. That guess is a mug's game....but if I had to guess.... |
|
....I'd say the simian's loyalty to Rove will end exactly where Rove's actions unequivocally point to Bush's complicity - either in the leak (a possible scenario, but I'd say not likely) or in the cover-up (at this point, possible, and with each passing day, more and more likely).
Sooooo....in the end, I'd say Bush - who may be an idiot, but is no dummy about Rovian chicanery and its pivotal role in getting him elected time and again - will do or say whatever he has to to avoid the disgrace of impeachment. Because, lurking just under the surface of Chimpy's thin presidential veneer is a snarky, silver-spooned fratboy who is ALWAYS used to getting his way. Rove's role in Chimpy's political successes can not be understated, but in the end, it is Karl who works for the Bush family. And Chimpy isn't going to go against the family.
This turd doesn't blossom....it just draws flies.
