Hannity: Plame outed herself by dating/marrying Wilson.
This is the latest from the spin zone. I guess he figures that there has never been a married undercover CIA operative before, either.

13. I'm Bond. James Bond.
OMG! Bond outed himself!

Hannity really doesn't care how stupid he sounds, in fact, Podhoretz used the same line of reasoning in his last column. As long as the idiots watching/reading stay on the farm, the pundits are happy. But I wonder, how will the idiots be able to watch Bond movies? Everytime James introduces himself by saying, "I'm Bond; James Bond," will they now think he's blowing his cover?

37. no, his fault for being BORN
anyone seen my head? I think it finally exploded from this level of STUPIDITY.

And we wonder why some home grown terrorist gets all pissed off, heads toward DC, announcing to EVERYONE he is going to blow up the White House.

Makes you want to have a discussion with a deity about the gene pool..is it a joke or for real? A Dungeons and Dragon mistake?

(post filled with a hefty does of sarcasm for those of you not on my pissed off level today)

3. I heard Neal Boortz say today that one can find online, or used to be
able to find, Wilson's biography which stated at the end that he was married to a CIA agent. So he didn't think Rove had done anything improper since it was public knowledge. Does anyone know anything about this? I did a search and found Wilson's website and a very short biography, but no mention of a marriage.

6. I heard from another source
that Plame was suppossedly posing for Vanity Fair at one point, so saying she was a CIA agent isn't a big deal since she was running around in magazines.

Since we are discussing the gossip surrounding the gal, anyone know how to refute that claim?

Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 05:10 PM by Straight Shooter
She is wearing a head scarf and dark glasses in the pic. She did not "pose," it was just a standard magazine casual photo with her and her husband Joe, in a convertible.

No posing. That's a deliberate word used by right wingers to make it sound like she was doing cheesecake shots.

edit: the photo

61. Boortz is really parsing there
Wilson's online biography stated he married Valerie Plame. It said nothing about Plame being a CIA agent.

But technically, Bortz' statement is true. His online biography stated he was married to her and since she is a CIA agent, his online biography did say THAT he was married to a CIA agent.

Really carefully choosing their words. In Al Franken's Peabody award winning game, Wait, wait, don't lie to me Boortz committed a Leasel.

28. The best part was the caller who somehow got through and said...
It was a black woman who got through the screener with this (paraphrased):

Caller: "I don't think it's really a good idea for you to make such disrespectful remarks about a CIA agent."

Hannity: "I'm not making the remarks, it's in this article..."

Caller: "But you're repeating them and spreading them around."

Hannity: "I'm just..."

Caller: "Now I don't really like your show, but I've been listening to this for a while now..."

Hannity: "You don't like the show?"

Caller: "No, and I don't really like you either."

- a few seconds pause -

Hannity: "So you think I should be afraid to talk about a CIA agent? Like I'm threatened?"

Caller: "I'm just glad I didn't say it, that's all. I gotta go."

Hannity: "Wait, hold on. I want to talk."

Caller: "I don't have the time, I'm making dinner. (click)"

Pretty good stuff...I want to see the transcript of that exchange.

Almost all the responses were of the "Ah, ha! So it was common knowledge he was married to her. How could it be a crime to reveal she was his wife?" variety.

The lack of logical thought among those dweebs is breathtaking.

...in the Vanity Fair article, it was stated that Plame revealed herself as a CIA agent to Wilson very soon after they started dating.

What Hansanity is omitting is that a covert operative can reveal themselves without legal hassle.
