Biden said he wished he had a Karl Rove in his back pocket???
Just heard that on Randi Rhodes. Well, I won't even consider voting for him in the Democratic primary's now. Not that I was considering it in the first place.

1. I have no friggin' idea what his problem has been lately.
He seems to be falling all over himself to appear Bush-Lite.

Like that's going to win any votes in 2008 after all the Bush fatigue.

2. rover's not intelligent...he's just willing to do whatever it takes
That's the only reason he's gotten as far as he has. He latched onto GW like lice on a dog, played every dirty trick in the book and them some.

I can see Biden's jealousy :sarcasm: I won't vote for him either.

10. I agree 100%
He is obviously not that smart. He has some good political instincts but his policy ideas are a flop. I assume pushing Private Social Security and the War and many other things that are flopping, had heavy influence from Rove. He is someone who thinks he is the smartest man in the world because everything seemed to go his way until now, as everything he touched is FALLING APART!!!! He will go down is the greatest scumbag in the history of our Country when all is said and done.

3. are you honestly saying you wouldn't want a great Dem strategist?
Is there some sort of virtue in losing elections? Biden's point, I'm sure, is that Rove is a smart SOB. He got the worst president in American history re-elected. The Republicans know how valuable he is, which is why they are going to defend him to the end. If Kerry had a political handler of Rove's ability, he'd be president now.

7. rove does whatever it takes..
he doesn't care who gets hurt in the process. rover's got a history of going beyond what's acceptable when it comes to politics. He outed a CIA agent to discredit Wilson. Not much brains behind that.

And as far as the election goes...bush got it because of 9/11.

9. I guess we need a few consultants as dumb as Rove then
because he gets his candidates elected.

He does do whatever it takes, which is why he, hopefully, will be going to jail.

15. he's been dirty since he ran for pres of the College Republicans
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 08:42 PM by imenja
all of his campaigns have been dirty. The book Bush's Brain outlines some of his tactics. It's wishful thinking on my part, but I'd like to see him get 25 years like Ebbers did.

It is possible to be an underhanded bastered and a smart strategist at the same time, you know.

19. He planted bugs in a Republican campaign office and blamed it
on the Democrats. The list is a MILE LONG on the type of crap he pulls. It's one thing to have a smart political strategist who plays tough as hell but Rove players below the belt ALL THE TIME!

It's possible that Biden was thinking more about Roves political skills but if he is not aware of the evil stuff Rove does then he docent read much.

5. Hell, I wish the Dems had a Karl Rove in their pocket too!
I know it's wrong to WIN no matter how, but I also believe you have to fight your enemy with the same kind of weapons that are being used against you!

We've all mostly agreed that all politicians are motivated by the corporate $$, so how wrong is it really to tell lies and start rumors about your opposition? Basically that's what Rove's been dining isn't it?

11. I'm no fan of Biden
but I think he just means he'd rather have a good political advisor.

Instead our party is stuck with the likes of Bob Shrum.

plenty of reasons not to like Biden, but statements like this are throwaway lines.
