So, I got some Republican's Truck towed last night,
It really was very satisfying. I live in a rather tough to park neighborhood in Mass, and a man in a giant, small-penis pickup truck, with a Romney  sticker, and a "Clean the House: Vote Republican", parked in my driveway!!

Watching the tow truck scratch up the pretty shiny, never been used to haul ANYTHING bumper, made me feel a little better.

Does that make me a bad person?

1. Think on this
would he have treated you any differently had the situation been reversed?

2. Yes. But we all have an evil streak.
Your not that bad of a person 'tho. He was in your parking spot. I would feel satisfied if I could get rid of the person who parks in my parking spot no matter who owned the vehicle.

4. You were within your rights
I wouldn't feel bad at all.

Do you think he would have even thought twice about getting you towed if the circumstances were reversed. (Heck, even thought once about it?)

11. Oh, I do NOT feel bad!
Who parks in someone else's driveway?? I even asked my nearest neighbors if it was their car, and it wasn't. The car could have been a hybrid with the complete Downing Street Memo as a bumber sticker, and I would have gotten it towed.

8. Well, I'm sure you felt better only because . . .
You were enforcing that law and order that Republicans esteem so highly and are so vigilant in making sure that other people obey, so your elevated feeling was perfectly justified.

However, if you felt better for some other reason or out of petty vindictiveness because some ass-headed nimnol got the teeniest portion of his just deserts, then you are a bad person and I'm afraid you need a spanking!

12. Bad Person?
That fuknut prolly thought he had every right to park in someones driveway while he went about his *important* activities. I mean, really!

I live in NYC and I have to say, you handled it better than many NYers who would have watched the car being towed away with broken windows and flat tires.

You have a right to tow someone parked in your driveway, regardless of who it is. But the fact that it was a Repuke makes it very, very funny. I would pay cash money right now to have been able to see the look on that guy's face when he saw that his truck was gone.

Go get em, KarenInMA! :yourock:

And welcome to DU! :)

I was home last night, and I assume he would have knocked. Which makes me think: was this guy planning on leaving it there all night?

Ass.

16. Not in my book. We have assigned parking spaces at work for
upper mgt and a guy I work with used to park in other people's spaces. We always disagreed on this and one day I asked him if he would park in his neighbor's driveway if he felt like it; he looked startled and said of course not. He used to be a Repug but now is a Dem and hates Bush with a passion. Some people do see the light after you point how selfish they are. You did the right thing - you could have flattened all of his tires or keyed his p/u; that's probably what he would have done to you.

17. Is There An Easy To Park Neighborhood Within 100 miles of Boston?
I had the fortune to have a car and stay at Boston Harbor (in the midst of the dig...it was right outside my window). The hotel garage charged $15 an hour flat rate and the day rate was $120. Sheesh. And that was 2001. Who knows what those rates are now.

Bravo!!! Hopefully that truck was his "manhood" and those scratches are making him double over with pain this morning.

Cheers...

21. Notice how W fans are the worst citizens...
just judging by their practices in cars? Gas-guzzling, road-hogging, view-blocking pindick-compensating SUVs have W stickers 100 times more often than Kerry stickers. W stickers on more cars that are illegally parked, driving like assholes, with drivers on cell phones.... How often do you see Support Our Troops ribbons on vehicles that don't demonstrate basic civic responsibility / safety? How about supporting your own damn community. Next time you see some imbecile driving with a toddler in their lap, a vanity pickup parked on the grass, or some Hummer with the driver on the phone, check our the bumper. If there's a sticker, it ain't Kerry/Edwards or Go Dean.
