Poll question: Gender Gap Among DUers re Democratic Candidates |
|
Previous elections have always revealed a gender gap among voters.
Do DUers have differences in their candidate preferences?
p.s. the DU form for creating polls only has ten slots so not all the candidates can be be included. Post your preferences for "other."

but, do we know the male female percentages here at DU? I know that we can never have anything resembling a statistically valid online poll, but it would be interesting to know the registrations of DUers. Of course, that in itself means nothing as we don't know, at any given time who is active, who is on, etc. But again, great concept.

4. I know you only have ten choices but I think Mosely-Braun inclusion |
|
would have been interesting, if not necessary for gender gap discussion.

It would have been better to post two separate poll threads. One for men, one for women (plus could have included more candidates.) Since there are more men than women participating, the results appear skewed. For instance, just looking at the bars, it appears the gender gap with Dean was in favor of men, when in fact, it was the opposite (a higher percentage of women than of men voted for Dean.) What you need is the percent per gender in order to make comparisons.
This would be neat if DU would put up a sitewide poll for this (they used to do polls like that with the old software.)
