Need economic data quick
I have a friend who is insisting that the economy is doing great and adding jobs.

Has there been a gain of ONE net job since 2001? (adjusted for population.)

2. The economy in order to grow needs 150,000 new jobs per month
just to keep up with a 2% annual population growth. How many months has Bush been in office ? What was the size of the labor force then and now ? Also find the 'participation rate', this rate is where they hide those who have given up looking for work.

Furthermore, 'Nation's immigrants account for bulk of labor force growth since 2000'

6. You're Not An Economist, Are You?
Your post indicates you are not. It indicates you're not a statistician either.

We are NOT looking at record growth. There have 5 periods of superior growth since the end of WWII. The deficit is not lower by a statistically significant degree than what was predicted. The tax revenues are not higher, that is flat out wrong. The increase is lower than the rate of inflation. That means that in real dollars, the revenues are going down!

The S&P at a 4 year high is apropos of NOTHING! It's still lower than it was 6 years ago. Besides, if you really knew how to analyze the "facts" you claim to check, you would know that there is limited correlation or causation between market behavior and macroeconomic performance.

You get an "F" and you are dismissed!
