Any updates on the programming for Sirius 144?
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone had heard about what Sirius will put on 144. Hubby and I were speculating that they might put on BBC1, a channel that Sirius has been touting for a while as "coming soon". Of course I wish they would fill the slot with more Tom Hartmann, ALL of Randi, and include some other progressive talent such as Jay Marvin (yea, I know what he did in Chicago, but still) and others. Oh, and a more friendly slot for Mike Malloy would be great.

Any updates?

Paula

1. Randi and Mike Malloy are exclusive to XM Radio
They had their oportunity to keep them, but they rather spend their money on the NFL, NASCAR, the NBA, Howard Stern and Martha Stewart. Why stick with Sirius if the told Air America to take a hike?

2. Was that what REALLY happened or are you repeating AAR?
...as in what little Randi had to say on Monday, which wasn't enough for you to come to that insipid conclusion.

AAR probably wanted to get Sirius and XM into a bidding war over them, just to see how much they can swindle out of either. XM blinked, Sirius called their bluff. That is as credible an explaination as what you gave, yet it's still speculation.

AS to the OP, right now, it's anybody's guess. I'm disgusted with all 3 right now. AAR has some amazing, and necessary content, but their business practices in the last year leave a lot to be desired.

My suggestion, buy an iPod and podcast AARs shows for free off of iTunes. They have a deal with White ROse Society. There's no commercials for rich, chocolaty Ovaltine or anything else. It's like TiVo fore your ears...better than live radio.
