Wingnut insurance rep loses it at an employee meeting. . .
I work for a small company in northern Indiana and today an insurance rep from Anthem came in to talk about our health benefits which, of course, are becoming more expensive with fewer actual benefits. He explained that part of this was because the workforce at this particular business is generally older. I work with a lot of older ladies, and they are pissed as hell. They really had the guy against the wall about the changes in policy, etc. (he was sweating it big time)when he blurted out.. . "Well, the alternative is that when Hillary gets in office in 2008 and we have national health care, it will work for a couple of years and then you'll all be sorry you didn't have this option!"

I just said, out loud, "What the fuck?" It was a real meltdown. Horrible, but somehow beautiful in all its bizarreness!

He looked like a really cool guy. But this IS northern Indiana. Everyone has their legs open for Bush here. No pun intended.

7. My boss tried to diffuse it. . .
What is distressing is that no one really thought that statement was weird. This IS northern Indiana, to reiterate.

6. Get him fired, let him enjoy our "jobless recovery" and then he won't be
able to donate to the Repukes.

8. I have his card. . .
And the first thing I did when I got home was to find the home office number.
