9. I'm with you -- even before his recent WH press corps performances
I've loved him. It began when he DARED to speak French to Jacques Chirac at a press conference in France and was rebuked by JackassInChief. With they'd give him a show (replace Tweety!).

33. And a poor-ass rebuke at that
DUBYA: I'm impressed -- que bueno. Now I'm literate in two languages.

Beyond Embarrassment
by W. David Jenkins III May 29, 2002

<snip>

NBC's David Gregory gave you a hint of things to come during your disastrous press conference in France. Dave asked a poignant question to Bush that day and all the little brat could do was come up with a smart-alecky answer. When Gregory asked Bush about the protests that had dogged him during his European jaunt and the anti-Bush (not anti-American) feelings expressed by the protestors, he also asked, in French, for Chirac to comment as well. Bush got all miffed and erroneously accused Gregory of "memorizing a few French words" in order to pass himself off as being "intercontinental." Does he think Gregory is a missile, or is this yet another example of Bush's lack of comprehension of the English language? Bush then spewed the phrase "I'm impressed. Que bueno. Now, I'm literate in two languages." Well, I don't know Spanish for squat so I'll give him the benefit of a doubt. But, exactly what other language is Bush "literate" in? Oh, he better not be trying to include English in that statement. Anybody who's heard him speak without 3x5's or Karen Hughes knows that's an eighteen wheeler lie. Then he went on about how Gregory might have seen people protesting but all he saw was people waving. That's right, George. Just keep blowing hot air into that bubble you live in. Face it, George, we the majority, despise you and so does most of the world. As you and yours like to say, get over it!

22. Boy, I don't know but he dowsn't sound like a very good
attorney to me! He just said the law that Fitz is citing doesn't apply to this case, "because you have to remember when it was written and the intent was different!" What kind of crap is that??? All of a sudden, because a law was written 24 years ago, it doesn't apply today????

Sounds like a RW handler to me!

27. Just like the...
...The Second Ammendment. When it was written it applied to muskets (which took about five minutes to fill between shots) as protection against the Red Coats. That old law doesn't apply anymore either.

15. The Worm Will Soon Turn
All this chatter about Plame being a NOC or not or if she was an agent or not will be moot when this story turns from who exposed Plame to who covered up the investigation.

The actions of the White House and its paid proxies show they're battening down the hatches for indictments. Going after Plame now diverts so they can try to figure a way to counter the real shitstorm that will hit when indictments come down.

Right now they're doing the usual game of throwing everything against the wall and see which dung sticks. So far it just smells bad.

32. Want Some Popcorn? LOL
My wish is that Fitzgerald lets this mystery drag out for a while. Let 'em wonder what he's got building here. Is it perjury? Is it obstruction? Is it conspiracy? Will it be Rove? Will it be Scooter? Could it be others yet unknown? The suspense...oh the suspense!

I'm not one for horror movies, but the torture of this drama is just to fun to watch.

38. Gregory is doing well but
he should not been repeating a very inaccurate statement that "apparently his wife sent Wilson to Niger." Her superiors did. She was in no position to send him. GOP is repeating this bs, and Gregory should not fall for it. He is NOT Tweetie!

both who sent him (not his wife but her superiors because she had no authority) and whether she was covert at the time of her outing (yes, said Andrea, she was very much covert, despite the misinformation in the press today)
