If Steve McMahon is the democratic strategist the party sends out
to go up against Ginsberg, we got a fuckin problem.

Did anyone else see his totally pathetic performance?

4. Wimpy-he said he did not think Rove did anything
why won't anyone bring up Chris Matthews and what Rove told him that Joe Wilson's wife was fair game. That shows his intent for sure...

11. This kind of thing (revealing NOC's ID) happens every day in Washington.
I almost reached in the TV and slapped him about the head and shoulders.

In retrospect, a knee to the groin and a few weeks with duct tape on his pie-hole might be more appropriate.

It's not necessarily within the party's ability to control.

That surprises me a lot. Donna Brazille was sort of that way on CNN today as well. Steve is usually very outspoken.

18. i havent been watching news, but i listened. the guy was being honest
as far as he saw up to this point rove hasnt broken law. and seems to be consensus all the way around. the reporter dude on olderman who is pretty good also said rove hasnt broken law. up to this point he doesnt see him losing job. depends what else is out there

so beat up the guy if you like, mcmahon just wasnt going to lie.

he did good on points and called gingsberg on things. didnt like ginsberg getting the last word

but the guy was fine. just wasnt what people wanted on this board. didnt salivate over roves body.

23. I get your point, but joe wilson himself has been out there all day today
and they could have atleast repeated what he said. What would be the harm in that.

I just don't get it sometimes.

19. did these alleged democrats play in the sun all day and not realize
all of the work done on capitol hill today. You would tend to think they did. Like they are all living under rocks.

Unless they know something I don't know. But at this point i think this type of strategy sucks. and this type of strategy has made ire go up for approximately 3 years now.

25. When McMahon was on Crossfire one day, he got kudos here.
He is usually very outspoken. Did he just refer to the legal aspects? If so, I can see that.

27. No he was really weak as far as I was concerned.
he didn't call ginsberg out when he said Joe Wilson was the liar.

There is a very easy answer or retort:

"Everything Joe Wilson said about Yellow Cake from Nigers is true. The president even admits that.

I just wonder why they don't say things like that."

28. You raise the issue of purity in representation.
In cases such as these, I don't think past performance matters. We have an extremely slim window of influence with these talking heads, and we need to have the most agressive ones, and the ones who most completely represent us most of the time.

There are thousands of personalities anxious for talking-head jobs. If we try high turnover for a while and it doesn't work, there will still be more. If we don't try it, we are stuck with whatever lameasses the network wants to throw up there.

29. I did not hear it, not really raising a question.
Steve is usually quite outspoken is all I meant. I noticed that everyone today has been cautious about the use of the words legal and illegal in this case.

Actually that is all I meant.
