Believe it or not, andrea mitchell just sent the records straight!
She said that Plame did not have the authority to send her husband to Niger, that it had to come from higher up and that leaking her identity put other covert ops at risk for their lives and destroyed a front company that it took the CIA years to establish.

Unca' Dick and Cousin Karl may be in BIG trouble over this one.

12. "Dem Strategists" always seem to suck...
it's a whole class of dems that seem to work for the other side by never bringing up the most important points, and just getting hosed in the fake cable news debate setup.

i didn't see this particular one, but i can imagine how it went.

22. I saw that too and had the same reaction (on both Mitchell and McMahon)
We need strategists who are on OUR side! How does the media decide which "Democratic strategist" to put on the air??? Should we be protesting that they're misrepresenting us?

10. There was an important thing she said ...
she said that Plame offered Wilson's experience in an email. Now if my memory serves me right there wasn't an email. But Gannon/Guckert had or saw an email which I think he mentioned in his interview with Wilson.

Wasn't that a bogus email? I know someone has a better memory on this than I do ...

Everything I read so far indicated that Plame had one or more verbal conversations when she was asked about Wilson.

Also Mitchell said that while Plame wasn't high up enough to send Wilson, that he wasn't sent by the top people at the CIA suggesting a lower level approval of the trip.

She also neglected to say that Cheney asked the CIA for more info on the Niger/Iraq connection and that this trip was part of that request.

The whole truth is far from being told. So Andrea gets only two brownie points ... maybe she'll get the other 3 when she does some research.

17. David Gregory ... Andrea Mitchell ... Did NBC News take a turn?
Perhaps NBC News is astute enough to realize that Rove is going down and has freed up their reports and commentators to "speak the truth."

Karl Rove has had a hold on the media establishment by threatening to withhold access to "unfriendly" reporters. Maybe now access to Karl doesn't seem all that essential.

I remember when I first read on Al Martin Raw about Wilson accusing Rove of being the source this contained the "frog-march" comment from Wilson). Also, Martin discussed the story of Rove being the grandson of Nazi architect Karl Roverer. Within that story, it was reported that Rove had put the word out among the media that any reporter that dared touch this story would be completely cut-out of WH access. He has ruled by fear and intimidation. I think there is a new sense of freedom in the press corps with Rove on the ropes.

21. I'm with you on this, Zen. I think that's just what's going down now. The
corporate honchos loosened their grip on the real reporters so they won't have to go down as complicit to BushInc's crimes, even though many of them are.

19. Rove nickname "Turd Blossom" LOL
OK. It's a little immature of me, but I LOVE THIS!
"Bush's other nickname for the Boy Genius is 'Turd Blossom'- a Texanism for a flower that blooms from cattle excrement. This year, there should be ample opportunity for him to earn the title."

Last paragraph from a "Guardian" article....
