2. I saw her yesterday on the evening news (CBS)

talking about doing away with "drive through mastectomies" (i.e. sending women home within less than 12 hours of having major surgery. A very particular interest of mine... (that said, I don't know what she's talking about on C-Span)

She's my senator. I've sent her several emails and letters asking her to please not vote for giving more money to nation build in Iraq when we have so many pressing problems and home and this is just an attempt to cover up a failed Vietnam like invasion.

Hell, our entire coastline (Louisiana) and wetlands are washing away at the rate of 30 square miles a year, and we can't get funds to divert the Mississippi River to slow it down.

For $16 billion, we could fix our problem, but Nooooooo, we have to go spend hundreds of billions blowing up and fixing a country that doesn't want us there.

Gist of what I told her. Maybe she's hearing it from others and its working. :-)
