28. I listened to some of the debate.
The pukes sounded frightened, irrational, and desperate. Lord knows what our Dear Leader would have done to them if they had revoked the security clearance of Bush's Brain. :hide:

This was an excellent vote and will be very helpful in sweeping the garbage out of the Senate in '06. Thanks Pukes! :applause:

All our candidates need to do is say, "Senator so-and-so voted to let traitors keep their security clearances, so they can continue to betray our brave agents to our enemies. Senator so-and-so must be on the Al Qaeda payroll." :grr:

31. That's the line we send to every Republican Senator after their nay votes
on this.

You chose your party over your country and as a result Republicans are soft on treason.

Short, and to the point.

They will regret their nay votes.

Lots of LTTE to write tomorrow too.

6. Well, here's what I wrote to Lamar Alexander.
So Senator Alexander,

You voted against the Reid Amendment No. 1222.
I should have figured you and your party would
support treason.

You are a shameful coward.

I look forward to working for your opponent in the
next election.

What kind of asinine bullshit is this? What possible answer could anyone have to voting "no" on this? Seriously. I was stuck in work hell all day and didn't have time to check news or CSPAN. Was a debate held? What was said against this amendment, if anything?

I've seen some really good spin from the Repubs lately, but this is going to take a genius even Peggy Noonan didn't have.

to Reid's amendment which was primarily intended to silence Durbin (for his comments abt torturing prisoners) and intimidate the other Senators. Anyone know how this came out?

This was a very feisty and interesting -- and, according to Diane Feinstein, historic -- debate but can't find a DU thread covering it. Can anyone help? I had to leave towards the end and was counting on a DU thread to bring me up to date when I got back.

edited -- stupid me! I found the links above. Too frantic to know, didn't read all posts. Bad, bad, bad kainah!

I just read the other threads. I knew DU wouldn't let me down. :-)

Just so that I might feel as though I contributed something of value here, the three non-voting senators were DeMint, Lott & Mikulski. Mikulski is in the hospital (searching for reason why she's been tired lately) and I don't know anything abt Lott but I saw DeMint earlier today so wonder what his excuse for not voting is.

Even RINOs like Chafee and Hagel, not to mention "Maverick" McCain, voted no.

It seems to be a fair amendment -- if you can't keep a secret, ya shouldn't be allowed to receive secrets. Obviously this was put in to smack Rove, but it still serves a good purpose.

It's a win.

If it had passed, then all those GOP fucks who voted for it could distance themselves from the crime.....they can just say..."well I voted for the amendment...."

Rove (and/or anyone else involved in the leak) is gonna get it regardless of this amendment.

Now that it hasn't passed, every singe moran who voted against this is going to have a hell of a lot of explaining to do.

On Edit: spelling error... corrected moron to moran

Party over Country?

Dear Senator,
Re: Reid Amendment No. 1222, which was to prohibit Federal employees who disclose classified information to persons not authorized to receive such information from holding a security clearance.

Sounds like a good amendment if you ask me! Federal employees who cannot protect our country's secrets should not have a security clearance! Your NAY vote on this amendment clearly indicates your willingness to place party over country in order to protect Karl Rove.

Congratulations. You stand revealed as just another partisan politician instead of a patriotic public servant.
