1. Surprise, surprise.
I s'pose they figure that if enough cute white girls go missing, we'll all forget about the high treason of KKKarl Rove.

4. To be fair, a lot of people are really interested in the story....
it's kind of like the way a lot of people were more interested in Laci Peterson then in the aftermath to the war in Iraq. When a pretty girl goes missing, the networks are all over it. The truth is that these stories bring in the ratings.

8. Well when you brainwash your viewers
I can see why they would think this is the most important story of the day. See, that is precisely the problem; network owners and executives (with obvious bias) are deciding what viewers want to see. It's not about what the viewers are interested in, it's about what Roger Ayles and Rupert Murdoch and Rev Moon are deciding they SHOULD BE interested in.

13. Honestly I Can Use The Break...
This stuff has been moving so fast and furious the past couple days, I'm taking a breather right now...kinda. Watched my beloved White Sox win...having a nice dinner and getting ready for another kick-ass Daily Show (plus the rerun) in 30 minutes.

I don't think I can deal with much more right wing spinning and whining...at least until the Washington Journal tomorrow morning. LOL

Cheers...

15. Not me
I have been waiting for something scandalous like this to hit the fan for the WH since Jan 2001. So I am enjoying every minute of it.

16. I'm With Ya...I've Been Waiting Even Longer...LOL
Good things come to those who wait...and I suspect we're going to have some very interesting days up ahead. Let's savor all this as the best revenge is living well.

Cheers...

10. Remember the biggest talking point of all??
"We are not commenting until the investigation is complete"

See that way, the public can be distracted AWAY from the Rove story. And the repukes are praying this investigation will take a looooong time.

12. that's just giving more attention to a story they want to disappear.
better to distract people with "trivial" shit (not that the disappearance of this young woman is trivial, but it's not "news" and it's not at the level of national importance that this treason is)
jacko was found not guilty, so they gotta scramble to find something to fill the void.

9. Just the latest distraction du jour. not a peep i bet about the 1500 or so
foster care children that are unaccounted for in the state of florida...no, that'd be disrespectful to jebbie.
concentrate on the telegenic blond white girl. not that it's not terribly sad for her family, but this is not fucking national news. and the senate should not be getting involved, holy shit.
how about maybe the senate take a look at the toxins found in the blood of newborn infants, since this is supposed to be a "culture of life"?
wait, never mind. how silly of me. once the kid's born, who gives a
shit, right?

17. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing
except that I don't think it's guilt so much that motivates him, but rather self-justification.
