3. I am worried about Granholm |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 10:25 PM by BayCityProgressive
a right wing right to work advocate is going to challenge her and get all the christian nut job votes. Everyone and I mean Everyone I know HATES Granholm and I work with liberal people at a union office. She has made the mistake of going out on a limb and being a liberal on every social issue that has come before the state (which I respect)...but she hasn't done shit for the state economically. She doesnt push the GOP legislature hard enough and so she has had to raise taxes on all the wrong things. smokers hate her, campers hate her, if you have to cross the mackinaw bridge you hate her...ect ect...she has really made a mess for herself.
**edit- I can see the commercials about her already "gay loving, baby killing, soft on crime tax raising liberal". I really don't want to lose her to a GOP wingnut

27. I'm a union member who likes Granholm... |
|
most of my union does too. But, I think she is going to have a helluva time getting reelected. I know I'll be volunteering to work for her campaign locally.

4. Phew, Kulongoski (D) of Oregon, 38% approve, 50% disapprove. |
|
But looks like a lot of people, regardless of state or party, are unhappy with their governors.

Now if only one of my good neighbors to the west would remind me why such a brain-dead twit as Taft won handily over (D)Tim Hagan? I simply don't understand it.

I'm not from Michigan, but I like her a lot. She's got a good head on her shoulders (from what I've heard of her talking points).
In a blue state, too. Odd.

dude is kicking ass in a repug state, he's so bad that even JC watts is having second thoughts about running against him.
he's doing this without being some bullshit fake ass repug. the dude has done a wonderful job of picking the right fights, and knowing when to fold. dems across the nation could learn a thing or two from this guy. and all the while he's one of the most boring speakers in the world.

I fear that unless he gets more support from parts of the state besides the southeast, he could be vulnerable when he runs again. The fact that this was taken right during the pay raise debate doesn't help.
