The NYT and AP Stories Tonight Suggest Perjury Case Against Rove |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 11:30 PM by ruggerson
New York Times story here: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/15/politics/15rove.html?hp&ex=1121400000&en=15d2c0ff1133350b&ei=5094&partner=homepageAP story here: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/politics/wire/sns-ap-cia-leak-rove,1,1773391.story?coll=sns-ap-politics-headlinesTimes story says that Novak claims (and has testified) that Rove said "You heard it too", confirming the Plame story. AP story says that Rove has claimed to the grand jury that he originally heard the Plame story from Novak. If both of these men testified as written in these two reports, with two conflicting stories, hasn't one of them committed perjury before the grand jury?
