Bernie Ward Time, Baby! The Lion of the Left
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 12:19 AM by Must_B_Free
Did you hear the tail end of Gene Burns? A bunch of Bush fans saying "I like Bush but I don't agree with the war... I don't agree with everything the party says, why do people have to define themselves with labels?"

Must be tough to be a Neocon in Californialand...

2. Listening to Bernie now.
I feel so lucky to have Bernie and Ray locally. Of course the signal does go a long way and they're available on the internet also.

I feel bad for those are surrounded by right wing radio.

6. I got it. Cutting out again. I love that man.
I never listened to him before much until AAR went to XM. I really like his style.

9. the good thing is they have an archive at kgo
each hour of the day's programming is kept in the archive for 24 hours. so i often listen to some of his program the next day. zipping past the commercials, news and topics that don't interest me. since it's kgo's tape, there's no cutting in and out.

btw, ray talafierro is on after bernie and he's great. but i only listen to some of the archives. he calls bush "that little turd in the white house". you can get away with more in the middle of the night!

19. I like Ray, too
I recently started listening to radio again because of Ray, Bernie and Mike Malloy. Sometimes I do 3 hours of Malloy, then 3 hours of Bernie, then (maybe) 3 hours of Ray, but I tend to fall asleep so early in the morning during Ray's show so I don't catch the whole thing. Wish I could listen to all of Ray. I'll try your suggestion and listen to KGO's archives the next day. They should keep their archives alive for more than 24 hours, like WhiteRoseSociety.org.

8. It cuts out for me sometimes, too
Since the Bernie Ward show provides dead silence during commercials while listening on the internet, sometimes it's hard to know whether Bernie's show is in a commercial or if I lost my signal. LOL. I listen to Bernie down here in Los Angeles.

11. Can't you receive the signal on a regular radio?
KGO has a blowtorch transmission signal that I have been able to catch as far south as La Paz, Mexico when the sun goes down.

It should be noted that Brother Bernie is very famous for his pregnent pauses while he collects his thoughts. I often catch myself starting to work that snooze thingy on the radio, then mysteriously he just starts talking again. My wife thinks he experiences small attacks of narcolepsy as a result of sleep apnea (which he really does have).

18. LOL
I noticed those narcolepsy moments from Bernie, too. Sometimes I think, "Did the signal cut-out, or did Bernie pause?" I spend alot of time wondering if my internet signal cut-out. Kind-a funny, actually.

I live in Malibu. Mountains and cliffs make it difficult for me to receive local L.A. stations. So, I doubt I could hear KGO on a radio. I listen to radio almost exclusively over the internet.
