Rove and Novak turning on each other?
In light of this new info about Novak giving the name to Rove will a war start between them? Will Novak come out and say that Rove is lying about that too?

1. I don't think so
rove was fired by bush I, and novak was involved then

I think they already have someone setup to be the fall guy

Why isn't novak in jail? he reported the story

I SO hope you're right! I'd love to see them go at it. Two scurvy weasels doing battle - we can only hope!

5. That's what I thought at first read this morning, but that really doesn't

make sense because rove and novak are on the same cheerleading squad.

they'll set someone else up as the fall guy who will conveniently "commit suicide" over being "caught".

7. yes but Novak wasn't for the war so it would be in Roves
interest to have a non-war supporter write that column about Wilson. Novak did Rove a favor writing that piece.

12. Novak's Not A Neocon
He is not ideologically driven. His whole thing is taxes. He's just a selfish twit who doesn't want his taxes to feed poor people. He's a republican because he believes they'll keep HIS taxes low. The rest of this nonsensical ideology is equally anathema to him as it is to us. He BELIEVES in limited gov't. Neocons don't.

9. I don't think so. No problem for Novak here.
Reporters are not subject to the leaking law. We may find out who Novak's source is now but I'm sure they already have that taken care of.

10. Throw the dogs in the pit
I don't know though, I believe novacula must be sweating bullets about now, he is just one short step away from his slimey life being brought to an accidental end.
For my money ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROVE.

16. The way I read the NYT article
Rove is really guilty because he OFFICIALLY confirmed Novak's question about an undercover agent's identity. These idiots are so stupid they think
this "development" let's Rove off the hook. HE CONFIRMED HER IDENTITY!!!!! FOR CHRIST"S SAKE

15. Don't underestimate Rove
Here's my theory:

Rove got someone else in the White House to perpetuate the original leak, which allowed him to confirm with Novak when he called.

"Information Laundering," if you will.

Another WH official will come forward and fall on his sword, and Rove will get off...unless it can legally be proved that Rove's confirmation is a legal violation.

Either that, or that other WH official caves when he/she realizes he/she faces jail time.
