Two words that MUST be spread far and wide: PRE-EMPTIVE COVERUP
That's what Rove engaged in and it proves he KNOWINGLY revealed the identity of an undercover CIA operative.

His attempts to parse and coverup before the fact are going to be his downfall. Watch it, folks. this is just starting to get good!

Agree that this is going to get good. Repugs talking heads are spinning and spewing so fast, they make Linda Blair look normal.

Let's recap, shall we?

1. Rove never leaked the identity of a CIA agent and never "knew her name"
2. Okay, he did talk to a reporter before the Novak story was published but he never mentioned her by name and he didn't know she was covert.
3. Oh and by the way, he was just trying to make sure the poor misguided reporter got the right story about big bad Joe Wilson anyway.
4. And what the heck, once the Novak story was published, let's tell Chris Matthews (and maybe a few other reporters) that Plame is fair game.
5. So, okay, well maybe Rove did talk to at least three reporters about Plame before the Novak story was published.
6. And, well, one of those reporters was Novak himself because, heck, Rove was actually a source TO the infamous story. Oh, and guess what. Novak told Rove Valerie Plame's name so, yeah, he did know it all along.
7. Oh, and by the way, it's real possible that before talking to Novak, he spoke with (you guessed it!) Judith Miller who's sitting in jail.

But my bet is that, after all this leaking to the press about the scandal of leaking to the press, Judy will decide to join the party.

Yup. This is getting good.

5. Rove went for "plausible deniability" but the Pre-Emptive coverup
proved to make his deniability IMPLAUSIBLE!
