Here is a dems "American Compact": goals for dems & the USA

as read about on DFA blog (Democracy for America) there is a group prposing a set of goals that are proactive and answer the question, "what do democrats stand for" and what are their goals in the 2006 elections.

As stated on the site: "The American Compact is a set of ten action items a new Congress can take, and therefore can serve as the backbone for nationalizing the 2006 Congressional races. Several of them have state and local aspects, so state and local candidates can run on the Compact as well."

included in this "compact" are 10 general goals covering health care for children, energy independence, election reform and more.
