I had a wonderful thought
We know Karl doesn't play it straight about anything with anyone. He has accumulated contacts and a reputation.

I wonder how many politicians he has promised his services to? How many politicians think Karl is going to go to work for them after Bu$h?

If he is playing multiple politicians like he is going to turn them into his next star. They would not like to find out that he has promised his services to many at the same time...

Some might be afraid of what he could do to them yes, but others might be banking that Karl will provide them the sort of platform that Bu$h was elected on.

So all these rethuglicans trying to "Save Karl" might really think that they are protecting their own future. Especially since you know they don't care to understand what is going on and wait for Karl's notes (talking points) to get their news.

If anyone watched the Senate hearings yesterday, the republicans would only comment via Rove's notes that they were given.

Now ask your self is it in Rove's best interest to play multiple politicians like they are his next project? You know he is capable of almost anything....
