Poll question: Which group of * supporters sucks worst? |
|
I've always hated the 2000 * supporters worst myself. On top of chicanery which is SO bloody obvious that no one even mentions it anymore (Florida, the "Brooks Brothers" riot, the SCOTUS discrace), how could ANYONE be SO FUCKING STUPID as to vote for changing the boss when the company was doing better that it had in a generation?
And to vote for THAT oblivious buffoon? And face facts; Kerry (who is not a bad person) makes Gore look like a combination of Einstein and Johnny Carson.

|
That and the Rednecks. I know two locals who supported * because he was the anti-environmentalist: they LOVE their "sleds" and dirt bikes, and want to ride them EVERYWHERE.
The one across the street nailed his PLASTIC Bush/Cheney lawn sign 30' in the air to a 125 year old TREE. Now THAT is a STATEMENT.

But that would INCLUDE the fundies and the gun nuts, since we have to live around so many of them. And they're not separate groups.
Since when did Jesus own a shotgun?

Hope your MS is moving slow. We've dealt with that in my family, and every time I hear about MS, I think about you and get a twinge.
Best wishes ya'll. I learned that in Houston.

Doing OK. And I seem to be remitting right now, so that's good. Just some minor numbness, and pretty constant minor L'hermitte's in my neck.
I just started my drugs on Monday, but am still getting the hang of the shots. :scared: I'm lucky reprehensor is a good aim, because I'm kind of clumsy!
I have so many good friends here. Lots of folks checking in with me and offering best wishes.
So thanks! FSC :hi:

You know 'em--they're the ones who say, "Hell, yeah, I support the president and his decision to go to Eye-rack! Whuzzat? How come I haven't joined the military? Well, see, um...I just got into one of the most prestigious business schools in the country. Besides, I figger I can do my part to help the fighting from here in the States. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!"

17. The worst were the ones who didn't know and didn't care |
|
a) Whom they were voting for, as long as it wasn't a "liberal," the definition of which bends with the prevailing winds.
b) What the issues at stake were, which though cleverly concealed through MSM complicity and elevation of the mundane and trivial to newsworthiness, nevertheless could still have been discerned through the fog by alert, conscientious citizens--if they had taken their noses away from their own immediate lives and issues long enough to ponder them.
c) What the consequences would be of allowing statist reactionaries disguised as conservatives to consolidate their grip on two branches of the government and letting them have a go at three for three. See (b).
d) That it is no longer cool to NOT bring up politics in polite conversation when the safety and security of the country as well as the world, and the legacy they would leave for future generations (if there will be any after the present ones), are at stake. It is not polite to be bad citizens. Bad citizens make bad friends and a worse US of A.

I know several like that, and not only are they Bush supporters, they're usually trust fund babies who were born on third base and think they earned a triple.
Their view of the world is so skewed by a privileged upbringing that they're completely incapable of seeing life through the eyes of the poor, and they're almost proud of it.
