"Real Men are Republicans: Democrats are Metro-sexuals"
http://www.mensnewsdaily.com/blog/malven/

"A Pro-God, Pro-America, Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, Distinctly Middle-Class, Single, Hetero-sexual, White Guy's Take On Politics and Society".

It seems that the Democrat Party has become the party of whine and cheesy. America used to be a nation that prided itself with the can-do attitude.
<snip>

Much of this has been the result of the policies of Quasi-Socialism set in place by the dominance of our government by the Democrats during the last century. This culture of don’t worry Uncle Sam will do it for you has stripped many Americans of their self-worth and independence. Reliance on governmental assistance has made a large number of Americans dependant people. America cannot afford to leave its security and future in the hands of an emasculated, directionless, Democrat Party filled with old, outdated ideals.

<snip>

John Kerry was the perfect representative of his party just as Al Gore was during the 2000 election. Their core beliefs depended on the latest opinion poll. Whither the wind didst blow, thither did they venture with their policies. Kerry’s vanity drove him to botox and the tanning booth, Gore’s to a woman advisor (Naomi Wolf) for instructions on how to be a man.

:argh: :argh:

Just a reminder for the next time you want to exercise restraint when talking to a Republican.

4. Why are Republicans championing "identity politics"?
I thought that was you know like a betrayal of Western Civilization's belief in universal values, the Enlightenment and everything.

I thought they were supposed to be against that.

{something so profound i read this am.)
All streams flow to the sea
Because it is lower than they are
Humility gives it its power
--Lao Tzu

REAL MEN- are confident enough in themselves, and their beliefs, not to have to resort to bullying, using force, dominance, and violence to 'feel whole' or 'safe' or 'masculine'-
REAL MEN are not afraid to show human emotion, (yes even tears-honest, heart-felt tears) not crocodile tears, to 'show' how much 'i feel the hard work'.
REAL MEN are patient, willing to discuss, and compromise- willing to listen to differing points of view without simply 'cutting off' those who speak what might be uncomfortable to hear.
REAL MEN apologize when they feel they have done something that has injured a person, or people they had not intended harm to- or even for holding views, or taking actions that they later lived to regret.- They are not 'threatened' by being 'wrong' on occasion.

REAL MEN don't FEAR their 'gentle side'- and REAL WOMEN aren't afraid to stand up for themselves.

Their ideas and values suck. Their success is due to a brilliant marketing campaign. Advertising is not about information, it is about self-image and group acceptance.

9. Say there "real man" lemme ask you somethin
You gonna enlist and be a real man like all the other young republicans? you ever been to New York City and tried to push around those "whiney liberals?" better yet hop on a subway and see how far "establishing" your "manhood" will get you there.

So you ever been in a fight real man? you know the reason why myself and alot of liberals think the way they do is because they have seen real violence real blood spilt either by someone else's hands or their own hands through personal conflict or war and they discovered that it's not quite the same as killing or brutalizing someone on Grand Theft Auto.

You ever have to fend for yourself in the big city with no help? facing lay-offs, no health insurance and still trying to raise a family? you ever do that punk? "whiney liberals" in the blue states do that everyday.

You ever face a terrorist attack? millions of whiney liberals faced that in New York City and DC, you know the terrorist attack that you republican punkasses secretly (and not so secretly) cheered for.

Did you know that your republican heroes like Regan and Bush I profited greatly from the likes of the mujahdeen and Saddam in the 80's?

You're not a "real man" you're a candyass putz.

Alright, that description of the writer is a string of contradictions. Pro-God, Pro-Gun? WTF?

What the hell is a metro-sexual? There is no evidence that JK had botox. Plenty of evidence that Reagan colored his hair.

All people are dependant on society. The rich could not be rich without police protection of their assets and without govt's full faith and credit backing money. What about business owner tort immunity in the form of corporations? Does this idiot expect to buy his own roads, fire protection and schools?

Most of us still have a can-do attitude. Unfortunately, the govt's nuerotic denial of the existance of problems stands in the way.

No one who has rushed a machine gun nest is emasculated. People who have become good fighter pilots but flew them on the wrong side of the world have a better case for being cowards. Such people typically have no problem getting others killed. The Rs constant denial and aggression is the equivalent of a nationwide temper tantrum.

Let's compare the following Rs and their personal bravery:
41- not a coward, WW2 fighter pilot
43- draft dodger, stunned into inaction by 9/11

Bob Dole- got shot badly after volunteering for hazardous duty
Dick Cheney- other priorities

John McCain- survived Hanoi Hilton
Ronald Reagan- played a soldier in the movies

Let's look at some of our emasculated Ds.
John Kerry- volunteered for ultrahazardous duty, wounded in combat
Bob Kerrey- leg still in Vietnam
Jimmy Carter- qualified to command a nuclear submarine
Wes Clark- shot in Vietnam
John Glenn- Where do I start?
Al Gore- declined opportunity to skip war
John Edwards- became a senator with nothing ever handed to him
Bill Clinton- same there, rose from dirt poor kid to president
Hillary- she could take W. in a fight.
Max Cleland- never really left Vietnam, literally.

I'm sure there are others, but I do not know their backgrounds well enough.

Republicans project so much now that you'd think they'd have bright futures in the movie business. Oh, and can someone notify me the next time a republican takes personal responsibility for ANYTHING? Isn't responsibility a manly quality? Bush has honestly not taken responsibility or accountability for anything during these past 5 years. Even the most hard core of republicans would admit that he's fucked something up over the course of his terms. Why no responsibility?

My Dem war vet, beer drinking, health care-providing brother could take out a few.

I wonder how much govt. assistance Repukes have received? Really, there were a bunch of anti-compassionate Repug nursing students in college who were on the govt payroll for their education and to feed their kids. I'm fine with that as they needed it. But it sure was hard not to call that kettle black. And that's just direct help.

What about the infrastructure of the country that supports their wealth and their conveniences? What about the taxes supporting highways, air travel for their pleasure and their business travel, police, armed forces, etc ? What about all the money spent on regulating banking and securities so their investments are safe? And their food supply and medicines?

What a bunch of hypocrites.

is the following: " If a Real Man gives you his word, you can take it to the bank. Example: Karl Rove did nothing wrong. I know this, because if he had, Bush would know and if he knew, Rove would be out instantly, because Bush said so."
Really, no shit. If I hadn't dropped in there a few times before I would be convinced it was a parody site.Ahh to be in the USA after a short trip abroad.

Bush ain't a "real man", he is a lying, cowardly pussy who has never done anything for himself in his life. Under this idiot's definition, the gay Karl Rove is not a real man either.

Anyway, that is not true. "Real men" can be politically adept.

All I read was "Little Boy Id," run wild. When he says "real men don't talk down to you" and "real men laugh with you, not at you," all he's saying is "I get really pissed off when these people who know a fuck of a lot more than me, and call me out for the primate that I am, get their jollies off my doofishness. It hurts my widdle feelings."

He'd be a "real man" if he owned up to the conflicting emotions, fear, pain and vulnerabilities that one would have to have, to write a column so obviously defensive, as this one.

57. Yeah, it takes a "real man" to go AWOL from the Texas ANG, snort blow
and support the Vietnam war from the safety of a barstool, whereas only a limp-wristed metrosexual would choose to drive a swift boat into enemy fire to save another man's life, and then take the experiences of watching friends die for a pointless war to heart enough to come home and adopt a vocal stance against that war.

And the only people who say "Don't Worry, Uncle Sam Will Do It For You" are Halliburton and Bechtel execs, waiting for their next fat, no-bid, larceny contract related to another pointless, brutal war.

60. John Kerry would wipe up the floor with Bush in a fight.
Bush is a mouthy wimp... just like the guy who wrote that article.

62. THIS is what I see and hear about us every day.
This is the mindset that has permeated much of the American public. It cannot be explained or persuaded away. People who hold this attitude will hold it for the rest of their lives. Forget the fact that it's false, a lot of people (influential people) believe it.

And this is why I believe that we are a generation away from regaining any real control.

63. Real Republican men fart, belch and scratch themselves
While they're out hunting in their SUV's.
Democrat men step out of the shower to take a pee!

Repukes are the party of real men.

Makes absolutely no sense.

65. John Edwards, John Kerry, Jon Stewart vs Rove, Bush and Hannity?
Let me put it this way. I'd happily give it away to any of the first three. The second group would make me seriously consider switching teams. :eyes:

66. Such a typical clueless article from a dumbass republican man
My real life experiences have shown different results. Every republican man I have ever dated always turns out to be an old-fashioned selfish whiney momma's boy. Give me an intelligent, thoughtful compassionate liberal/democratic man anyday...
