I can't wait. This is the one movie I have been waiting to see this year. I LOVE Depp.

7. I just saw it this afternoon with my kids.
It's really, really great! I'm a big fan of the book, too.

Johnny Depp is excellent, but not exactly sexy in this role, sadly. More like Michael Jackson. :scared:

6. George Wonka Bush
June 13, 2005

WONKA: My dear friends, you are now about to enter the nerve center of the entire Wonka Factory. Inside this room, all of my dreams become realities. And some of my realities become dreams. And almost everything you will see is eatible. Edible. I mean, you can eat almost everything.

AUGUSTUS: Let me in, I'm starving!

BUSH: I do believe we can eradicate poverty. And, by the way, Bono has come to see me. I admire him. He is a man of depth and a great heart who cares deeply about the impoverished folks on the continent of Africa, and I admire his leadership on the issue. And so I do believe -- I don't view -- I can't remember how you characterized the rock stars, but I don't characterize them that way, having met the man.

10. Wonka wanted, dead or alive?

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, a longtime advocate of regime change in the Wonka Empire, is urging President Bush to consider military intervention should Wonka refuse to cooperate.

17. Wonka #1 at the box office!
Warner Bros.' Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore, took over the North American box office with an estimated $55.4 million from 3,770 theaters. The opening marks the sixth best ever for the month of July and biggest for Depp. Depp's last big family film, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, opened in first with $46.6 million in July, 2003 and ended up with $305.4 million. "Chocolate Factory" was based on the book by Roald Dahl, which was previously made into the 1971 Gene Wilder film, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
