Wilson and Plame are restoring my faith in the good winning
Ever since the last election I've lived with the firm belief that the US will become a Christian Taliban run theocracy, and my best bet is to make as much money I can now to ensure I can get by when i move to another country.

Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame have, for the first time, stirred in me the belief that the good might actually win out. And as importantly, they can win by remaining good.

When you consider what the smear-master Rove has at stake, the fact that he can't pin any dirt on Plame or Wilson convinces me that they are not just good, but outstandingly good.

Wilson's nobility, intelligence and strength are an inspiration for me in a time when I thought there could be none.

1. A toast to the integrity of Joe Wilson!
:toast:

Perhaps it is true that good can eventually triumph over darkness.

There is no question that the darkness, disinformation and lies of this administration are all beginning to show fatigue.

I am amazed that so many Americans have fallen for all of this.
Hopefully, after we reconstruct what has happened and teach everyone the truth, we will be less prone to make the same mistakes and fall for the same machinations.

But such has been said before...

2. That's because they make it about Homeland Security, something
all of us want to agree upon. Our problem with 9/11 and Iraq has always been adequate Human Intelligence, which is what Plame and her network contributed to. Serious damage at an important time, in a climate in which the only reason we haven't been hit again by Terrorists is that it would provoke sympathy for us in the rest of the World. When that is no longer true . . . .

The quality of our Intelligence directly affect National Security. What happened to Plame is about the Quality of our Intelligence.

This is a very good discussion for this nation to have.

5. NATIONAL SECURITY
I have a heard a lot of dem pundits on TV keep returning to that mantra that in the end the whole Rove story comes down to National Security.
The last thing the Repubs want is for us to focus on that, but rather they want us lots in debating the details of what Joe Wilson did or did not say, was it accurate etc etc. -no. This is a security issue, when Plame was revealed, it set back our war on terror. thats it, we need to keep pounding that into everyone's brain, Rove fucked up and ruined a big part of our war on terror. lets keep at it.

8. One thing we can talk about is: Remember when they said on TV that
part of our problems in Iraq are due to the fact that we didn't have good "Human Intelligence". I'm sure this has been said on Fox even. Plame was part of the CIA Human Intelligence working on their own professional responsibilities around the WHIGs. Plame's network is destroyed. They worked on nuclear proliferation.

3. This is huge
it's not going away-look,I'm a musician and I hate it when an owner keeps telling me to turn down.I think that the MSM is finally getting sick of being told to turn down, and it's gonna be a long next few years for the Bush administration.

6. Eventually they'll collapse after so much mud-slinging
They'll either lose credibility (too many conflicting lies) or they'll make a REALLY stupid mistake.

It's good to see Wilson batting away all the lies and sticking to his guns.

The Rove apologists are the ones looking desperate.

7. Joe Wilson is a Man of quiet Strength.
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 06:08 PM by Tommymac
I am so impressed by his ability to communicate and frame the issue ....to stick to his guns, and to put the other side in their place with a simple quiet phrase.

He would make one hell of a Chief Executive....
