O'Donnell: "Plot against Wilson"
Earthboundmisfit has a thread about O'Donnell coming up on Lou Dobbs, but I thought what O'Donnell actually said deserves its own thread. O'Donnell reminded us of several things:

1. Independent judges reviewed the facts of the investigation and reluctantly agreed with Fitz requiring reporters to testify, indicating that the info is big and it is important.

2. One of the judges (I saw the written reports of these judges somewhere, was it on DU?) used the words, "PLOT AGAINST WILSON."

3. The first person to testifly had to have been a CIA official who indicated that Plame was covert and working on something important to the security of the U.S......if not, all else becomes moot.

When I heard him say "plot against Wilson," I immediately thought of the Iraq Group....can it be that Fitz is on the trail of that whole group? Could we just possibility get indictments agains all in the group? Can anyone remember who the exact members were? If they CONSPIRED to blow Plame's cover in a "plot against Wilson," then the whole administration is coming down, and I have never, never allowed myself to think that there is anything that could bring down this admin. Thoughts?

2. The members are
Scooter Libby, Karen Hughes, Rove, Mary Matalin, Condi Rice, Cheney for starters, members of WHIG

they were all on Air Force 1 last July on a trip to Africa and that is the phone records that Fitz has, to see what calls were being made to conspire against Wilson

That's it!! It all fits.

Just lookie who's in WHIG:

4. The so-called Iraq group consisted of...
... according to SourceWatch:

"The escalation of nuclear rhetoric a year ago, including the introduction of the term "mushroom cloud" into the debate, coincided with the formation of a White House Iraq Group, or WHIG, a task force assigned to "educate the public" about the threat from Hussein, as a participant put it.

"Systematic coordination began in August, when Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card, Jr. formed the White House Iraq Group, or WHIG, to set strategy for each stage of the confrontation with Baghdad. A senior official who participated in its work called it "an internal working group, like many formed for priority issues, to make sure each part of the White House was fulfilling its responsibilities."

"The group met weekly in the Situation Room. Among the regular participants were Karl Rove, the president's senior political adviser; communications strategists Karen Hughes, Mary Matalin and James R. Wilkinson; legislative liaison Nicholas E. Calio; and policy advisers led by Rice and her deputy, Stephen J. Hadley, along with I. Lewis Libby, Cheney's chief of staff."

The interesting part of this is that this group, if begun by Andrew Card, had to be at the request of Bush. Big implications to that alone, with regard to his statements about Iraq's weapons and the presumptive avoidance of war until absolutely necessary.

Cheers.

5. Chaney, Rove, Matalin, Rice...
... can't remember the others.

Trust me AnnInLa. This administration will come down! Early this year, I told my wife that something would come down on this administration that would make WaterGate look like a walk in the park. I have always had that feeling and now I know it WILL happen.

6. On point #3: He also said that WITNESS # ONE was CIA,
someone from the CIA, and that if WITNESS #1 had stated that Valerie Plame was NOT a Covert operative - there would have been no need for the investigation to proceed further - and there would not have been a Witness #2!!!

11. A small correction for accuracy.
(I'm going by the references in the opening post.)

O'Donnell say the first witness "had to have been", in other words, it should have been a CIA witness.

He didn't say, according to the opening post, that witness #1 WAS CIA.

14. Their plot may very well lead to nasty bombs in terrorists hands,...

,...and a terrorist act against this country.

The plot against Wilson by revealing a network tracking WMD proliferation is mindboggling in terms of the potential consequences. The fact that these f*ckers either didn't care or didn't THINK about those consequences makes them enemies to the security of the American people. TRAITORS!!!!

16. Well, they sure didn't give a crap about protecting ordnance in Iraq.
Yet they skated away from that like weasels on ice. Of course, that's just soldiers getting killed by their willful negligence. *sarcasm*

It'll be a whole new ballgame when people realize that the nuclear threat which Putz Cheney warned about so convincingly was because he knew what he was talking about.

It gives me the creeps. What if the election had not been stolen (as I am convinced it was tainted), and Kerry were in office. Would Cheney have given the go-ahead to his little partners in this scheme?
