4. He was probably afraid of the political fallout. |
|
With good reason. The Repubs would likely make every attempt necessary to utterly destroy his career.
Which wouldn't surprise anyone. These are the same people who sponsored the "if McCain had a black, illegitimate child" polls in SC.
Who knows - when we win in '04, maybe he'll switch then.

10. McCain is a conservative. Why would he join the Democratic party? |
|
Seriously, McCain is FAR more conseravtive than certain Congressmen who get routinely trashed as "Republican lite" around here. So why is it okay for him to be a Democrat, but not those other guys?

Be careful about this question- it allows the respondents to basically fill in whatever dream candidate they want.
A more accurate way to ask this question is to stack Bush up against individual candidates.
I don't want to be a wet blanket....

6. Saw this on the news last night |
|
they even did "on the street" interviews and people were not happy with Shrub! I was eating dinner at the time and I actually jumped (up from the table) for joy - lol The Repukes in this state are finally waking up to the fact that Shrub is a completely incompetent pResident.

8. Polls like this give me hope |
|
that Dems can win some of the red states, or at least swing states, if we nominate the right candidate. The only red states not in play would be severely religious states, like Utah, Mississippi, and Alabama. I am beginning to believe KY may even be in play, and we are quite bible beltish here.

9. Yep, Arizona will have 10 electoral votes in '04 |
|
and if we carry all of the Gore states, even with redistricting costing us 7 electoral votes and pick up Arizona we would be over the top, but if we win Arizona I think there is a good shot we will get Nevada and Colorado too.
