Did anyone else see the GOVERNMENT PROPAGANDA piece on GITMO today? |
|
It was on C-SPAN. There was a Congressional delegation, WITH A CAMERA CREW AND JOURNALIST in tow and they were given a tour of Gitmo. They showed the nicely folded, clean clothing on the 'comfy' beds, with prayer rugs that are given to the prisoners, their 'lovely' sleeping quarters and some Bingo games that the 'lucky' prisoners get to play with. Then they had a nice lunch with the troops where they 'ate what the prisoners were served', the same exact thing and it was 'just delicious'. :eyes: It was a lovely meal, according to one repuke congressional delegate.
I'm telling you, this was one of the most DISGUSTING, SICKENING, BLATANTLY Propagandistic pieces of shit I've ever seen! The GOVERNMENT paid for that! They're trying like hell to get out in front of the Abu Ghraib pictures that are coming out on the 22nd! They are SO transparent! Predictable! DISGUSTING! I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing/watching, with my own two eyes. PRAVDA TV! I kid you not.
Did anyone else see it?

2. Are they the ones who left the prisoners in the van |
|
to suffocate? Or are these different torturers? :(

8. Iraqis suffocated Iraqis in a van. The 11 |
|
charged with abusing prisoners are Americans.

9. Maybe it was the guys who stuffed 100's who were rounded up |
|
indescriminately and put into barrels or backs of 18 wheelers to suffocate. Maybe these are the kind torturers who shot into the trucks to provide air holes to breathe.

3. Members of Congress should refuse to go on a tour |
|
of a prison unless they can interview prisoners.
Otherwise, it's so bogus it's worse than not going at all.

5. And that is why it looked exactly like a |
|
propaganda piece. Of course there were areas of Gitmo the cameras weren't 'allowed'...hmmmm...wonder why?
If anyone gets a chance, you have got to see this. You just won't believe it.

6. I just saw very recently that when the reporters... |
|
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 11:41 PM by marew
were invited down there, before they left they had to hand over the tapes for editing. What a surprise! Can't remember where I saw it, but I absolutely know I did. Possibly from a guest on Al Franken on the Sundance Channel. Bush and company will never tell the truth about anything, that's a given. Any 'wrong' done to promote Bushco becomes a 'right.' With them, the end ALWAYS justifies the means.

10. Some day, some day, some day |
|
a journalist with balls is going to smuggle out a film. The truth will eventually be known. I know that is what the embedded journalists had to do. They had to have their film vetted by the Pentagon before it was released and 'they agreed to that!!! Just to be in Iraq after the 'Shock and Awe.' And now they wonder why no one trusts them?
The Abu Ghraib pictures will start the ball(s) rolling. If those pictures don't outrage the sheeple of this country, then I will know we have lost our way.
