The oddest thing happened at Netflix
Someone had mentioned 'Three Days of the Condor' in another forum and I went to Netflix to check it out. It sounded like a good movie. While I was watching the preview a box popped up requesting my username and password.

:wtf: Any ideas here? It kept popping up while I was there.

3. I am registered and a member
that's where we rent all our movies. It was just so odd. I wondered if someone hacked in and was using it as way of getting my information.

That is odd.

Never had it happen to me. A hack might be possible. ????

4. Yeah, Netflix wants you to be a paying customer before you can do too much
I actually think they are a fine service and seem pretty ethical. Since I've been with them, some "flicks" got lost in the mail, and there is never a question about it.

I like them much better than Blockbuster.

6. We tried Walmart's service for a couple of months
It was when it first started and it was horrible! Half the movies didn't play right. They were slow on getting them mailed out. Two DVDs came with cracks. It didn't take long to quit.

Netflix is ten times better and they have an awesome selection. I've rented more documentaries there than anywhere else.

9. Yes, I'm an ex-Blockbuster addict. It was expensive and if you missed
returning the movie by 10 minutes, they'd sock a late charge on it.

No more. Netflix sends out the day they get the return and usually I get it the next day. We've had movies sitting around (yes, my wife wanted to watch something and never bloody got around to it) for months. NBD.

I especially like the fact you can find things like "Hunting The President" or some obscure U-Boat doc off the History Channel. Since we don't have cable, this is nice.

As far is this current problem you had, I just have no clue.

Keep us posted if you find out what's up with that.

10. there is a reason for them getting lost
In the machines at the postal plant I work in, all the Netflix maillings go into one stacker on the machine. Nevertheless, we always find Netflix envelopes going to places they are NOT supposed to go. I think it may have something to do with their barcodes; I think the mailing envelopes have two barcodes on them, one postal one, and one internal to Netflix itself. I think their internal barcode confuses our machinery.

11. Also, It Could Happen This Way.
You may be walking. Maybe the first sunny day of the spring. And a car will slow beside you, and a door will open, and someone you know, maybe even trust, will get out of the car. And he will smile, a becoming smile. But he will leave open the door of the car and offer to give you a lift.

And my personal favorite:

Boy, what is it with you people? You think not getting caught in a lie is the same thing as telling the truth?
