New Frontpage Wash Post Article: The Timeline of Plame-Gate

I'm sure the White House is panicked over this one. It's big and long and in their own hometown.

One paragraph stood out for me in this...

"The uproar over the leak was ephemeral, as the story seemed to wilt in the summer heat. But in late September, a senior White House official was quoted as telling The Post at least six reporters had been told of Plame before Novak's column, "purely and simply out of revenge." Two days later, Bush was told that the Justice Department was investigating whether someone had unlawfully leaked the identity of an undercover agent."

Have I (we?) ignored the MOST important piece of the indictment puzzle? If someone in that administration told the Washington Post that "Plame was leaked purely and simply out of revenge", then isn't it more than likely that the same person testified that way to Fitzgerald?

If that WH official was one of the big fish, especially someone who was on that July 7th Air Force One flight to Africa, then Fitzgerald has his eyewitness to the origin of the crime.

And that means all that Fitzgerald is doing now is making sure he's cleaning up ALL of the trash.
