Why do we call Rove 'Bush's Brain?'
After the keystone kops way the White House has handled the Valerie Plame thing (and a whole lot more), shouldn't we be calling Rove Bush's unBrain?

Calling him a brain at this point is giving him a bit too much credit, IMO.

3. He's the man at the other end of the 'bulge'.
Actually, I saw the movie on the Sundance Channel.
Anyone who says Rove has 'integrity' is lying.

6. No offense
But I'm waiting to see how this all plays out before I dismiss the proven scumbag as a screw up. He may still end up being a brilliant scumbag and we'll be left wondering how they got away with another one. Every fiber of my being hopes that this is finally their undoing, but I've had my hopes, against all common sense, dashed by these assclowns before. Granted, the media has finally stopped covering for them at every turn, but this still has a long way to go before it's played out.

15. Right you are. Bob Woodward said this morning on MTP...
that Nixon was doing illegal things. And that we haven't had a president since then who is doing illegal things like Nixon. How he said that with a straight face I'll never know. Bernstein shot him a sideways glance like, yeah right. Somebody's been drinking the bush Kool Aid.

8. Because he helped make an incompetent idiot POTUS.
And then got said idiot reelected.

It takes a little intelligence to produce a snowball job of those epic proportions. And a lot of evil.

19. Bush shouldn't have been within light-years of the presidency,
much less close enough to make stealing an election or two possible.

My point is that Rove should not be underestimated. If he's capable of making idiot boy president, regardless of the methods or margin, he's not as dumb as many would like to believe.

23. Naw...
...it was the Corporate weenies that got Bush elected - thinking of all that $$$ you know. Rove just did the dirty when they ran into a hitch. Expendable cannon fodder - and Bush doesn't understand that he could give Rove the heave ho and (maybe) save himself.

People give Rove far too much credit.

9. call him bush's ego
The guy's been told he's so freaking brilliant for so long that he really believes it. I don't think he's that or stupid. He is smart, but the one difference is that rover plays dirty. There is no such thing as too low for him.

His ego will be his downfall, because he thought he was untouchable.

13. Rove scripts everything Bush* does...
Remember during the campaign when Bush would read the talking points in that notebook at his "campaign stops" filled with kool-aid drinking lovers of his image? That is all Rove. The swiftboats? Again, all Rove's doing. Do not feel sorry for this scumbag one bit. His ass is grass.

14. Heh? You haven't been paying attention for the past several years...
Everything bush does is political and for political gain, right? Rove is the strategist who cooks up the schemes and political hits on people who threaten the neo con agenda. They lie about everything from Stem Cells, Medicaid, social security and the war. They tell you the exact opposite of what they are really doing. They get away with this by using a coordinated network (under the direction of Rove) of lackeys and stooges including, Condi Rice, Rush Limbaugh, Drudge, Hannity, Fox News, and Wolf Blitzer etals... Bush is just a front person for the neo con farce and their anti American agenda. They should all be tried for war crimes and treason.

17. I suspect Rove is a very bright fellow. He has orchestrated most spin...
Rove has orchestrated most of the spin that comes out of the administration. Whatever you think of it ethically, you have to recognize much of its effectiveness.

But he also is ruthless and unethical. And he now faces a problem that can't be solved by PR. The courts have been dealing with conmen for a long, long time.
