Novak and Rove given JOB SECURITY because they are Bush allies |
|
Both CNN and Bush refuse to fire their alleged traitors Novak and Rove, respectively, because it would be unfair to judge them based on news reports. Pretty funny, particularly for CNN.
So DON'T judge them on news reports, call them in your office AND ASK THEM ALREADY, for christ's sake. What could be fairer than judging them on their own responses? ASK THEM. ASK THEM. ASK THEM. ASK THEM. ASK THEM.
Hello, employers of the world, you don't have to WAIT until your people are convicted or admit a felony before you shit-can them. You can fire the guy you suspect came to work five minutes late. YOu can fire Novak and Rove if you suspect they committed a felony.
In any other circumstance, any guy who won't explain to me how it is there are all these rumors--because he's under police investigation--would be fired.
But not if you are a Bush ally. Then you deserve the presumption of a big fat salary and perks and power until you are caught red handed. Disgusting.

4. Innoculation fails in this case |
|
Excellent point you make. This would be an great foundation for a question or two for the press to ask of Bush.
One of the reasons you call the employee into the office and ask them point blank is that you are then innoculated. You either fire them or you get to say "She (or he) told me they were innocent". You are innoculated for later if they turn out not to be innocent.
However, does this mean that Bush knows Rove is not innocent? That Bush cannot and dare not try to innoculate himself?
Are we back to the old question, "What did the President know and when did he know it?"? Yet another similarity with the Nixon White House.
