So, rove & libby & probably whole wh in a blind with rage about Wilson |
|
exposing the "Big Lie" attempt to discredit the trip to Niger, the report, and Wilson personally in order to cover up the lie.
It is hard to believe that any thinking American would have any faith in the chimp administration based on just this alone.

5. Keep repeating: The Preznit is NOT a Good Christian. |
|
He doesn't attend church every Sunday -- in fact, he rarely goes.
He lied about getting to the bottom of the leak.
He let his mouthpieces lie repeatedly about rove and Libby not being the sources of the leak.
He let Rove get away with betraying a NOC -- and didn't take action.
That Bush Boy -- he sure must love to make that Baby Jesus cry. If I were that mendacious and irresponsible, i'd make the Baby Jesus cry too.

3. The interesting part in this is the conviction... |

... they maintain that their lies are truths, that they were right to do it (note the spin, particularly, in the exchange with Cooper--they were trying to prevent him from writing a false story).
The neo-cons are true believers--in their own "necessary lies," in their own rectitude and in their right to do anything they choose to accomplish their supposedly lofty goals. The Straussian neo-cons are the penultimate elitists. They are even superior to democracy and open government and the rule of law, because of their goals.
As long as their lies about freedom and democracy are believed, there will be a part of the public that will have faith in them. The meme, from now on, should be Seymour Hersh's, "they're a cabal, and they've taken over the government" and that this cabal is fundamentally anti-democratic because it has attempted to place itself above the law. That is, in its essence, totalitarian.
Cheers.
