*another terra event (or two)

*sabre-rattling from axis of evil countries

*lots of sharks and lost blondes and the exposure of a kitten-stomping cult


What else will distract from the case over the next few months? (I know Abu Ghraib will come back into the press, but it can only damage the BFEE more.)

1. Well, there's the fall tv session

I hear that this time theres a lot of white house pressure on the networks to actually make shows that don't suck.

So that could be an upside.

because Fitzgerald can announce indictments any time the grand jury decides the case. They have UNTIL Oct. to make a finding. If they don't by that time, their time can be extended or they can shut down if they feel they can't make a determination.

7. Depends..if Fitzgerald thinks he can

get testimony from Miller. He may want to talk to Abrams and Libby once again also. With Miller he can always bring indictments and charge her with criminal contempt or call her as a hostile witness. If he feels he has all he needs now, he'll put his stuff together and close the Grand Jury before long and go with plan B as far as Miller is concerned.
