Who the hell was that Lester guy in the press conference?
I've yet to hear about this guy, but judging by the unbelievably stupid question he asked Scott Zeigler, one would think the son of a bitch worked for the American Spectator or something.

6. Gannon's godfather?
Actually, he's from a Baltimore radio news outlet. Alwasy counted on to steer the message into a anti-democratic territory.

Scott, isnt' it true that George Bush is the kindest, wisest and most christian president in the history or our nation? And as a follow up, why do you think tha democratic talking heads are so bitterly opposed to Bush's grand ideas of makiog this world a safer, kinder place?

RW radio show.

I did a quick search and found this:

"Lester Kinsolving is a radio talk show host in Baltimore who was a practicing Episcopalian minister and a columnist on religious affairs; his essays were published regularly in hundreds of newspapers and won him two Pulitzer Prize nominations. He is now also White House correspondent for WorldNet Daily and his dialogues with the President and more often, his spokesman, Ari Fleischer (and which are posted on the WorldNet Daily site), are a pleasure to read. We encourage Outpost readers to send their toughest questions to Kinsolving at WorldNetDaily's interactive forum MR. PRESIDENT! He will use the best questions -- and you can read how the White House responds on the website."

I always call him Crazy Lester because he usually has questions that are just off the wall.

I can't hate the man because I think he's certifiably crazy. In some ways he amuses me.

10. found his site
this in particular, considering the absolutely idiotic question he asked, amused me:

Les is best known among the Washington press corps as one of the few who has the guts to ask probing questions and even providing comic relief.

Even with the Bush Administration in the White House, Les continues to ask probing questions.

If you want a member of the press corps to ask questions about pornographic coloring books, Lester Kinsolving's your man. As Dave Barry would say, I am not making this up.

I've heard the rest of the press corps shout "Enough!" when Kinsolving asks a particularly bizarre, convoluted, or self-indulgent question. I've also heard them joke about him in his absence.

The funniest thing of all, though, is that I have actually heard Kinsolving ask a genuinely good question. I forget the exact topic, unfortunately, but it really did happen. The odds are that Kinsolving would ask something sensible sooner or later.

15. The authority of nationally syndicated columnists
"Scott, do you agree with orher people's opinions, because I don't have one of my own?" - Lester the Jester

----------------------------

Q Scott, Jack Kelly of The Pittsburgh Post Gazette notes that the Intelligence Identities Protection Act defines a covert agent as someone working undercover overseas. He notes Valerie Plame has manned a desk at the CIA headquarters since 1997, while Mark Stein of the Chicago Sun Times notes that Valerie's husband conceded on CNN that she is not a clandestine officer and hasn't been one for six years, so leaking her CIA connection did not endanger her life or comprise her mission.

And my question -- I have a follow up -- would you or the President or Karl Rove disagree with these two nationally syndicated columnists?

MR. McCLELLAN: Les, I think those are matters for the investigators to look at, and I think I've said about all there is to say about it at this point.

Go ahead.

Q I have one follow up. Nineteen members of Congress from seven states have written a letter to the President saying that they are still waiting for an answer to a May 26th question: Is the President opposed to contraception. And my question is, could they now have an answer to my question? Or do you regard them, too, as not to be dignified with a response?

MR. McCLELLAN: No, I think we've talked about these issues before and these issues when it comes to the federal government and programs aimed at promoting abstinence and how those ought to be funded on at least equal footing with other programs, so I think we've addressed the President's views in that context.
