2. I didn't see him, but when Bush says
he'll fire anyone who committed a crime, he obviously think no one is going to get convicted of a crime.

I disagree, but it does make me nervous...

his portfolio sink like a stone.

11. I thought he looked like he was ready to take a LONG vacation!!!
He just kept repeating the same thing over and over and over and over again. He was prepared because he DIDN'T REALLY SAY ANYTHING!

peace.

6. Thats because the Right wing has woke up and now has a strategy
I am sure over the weekend they gathered at Fox news HQ to talk strategy and since the Sun shows the admin, the repukes in congress, the Fox idiots, and national review are all getting behind the new strategy.

That strategy is to bash cooper, blame the Dems for the leak, trash Wilson every which way from sunday, and deflect attention from the fact there is a special pros all over this. So with this new strat they seem to feel they can win this out.

My hope is that soon and indictment will come and that will end this new strategy and make them look terrible. If no indictment comes, sadly, this strategy will be a good one

8. The right better start implementing another one
cuz Mehlman at the helm is not doing it. According to the latest polls, the majority of people believe Rove should be fired and that he committed a crime and you can't wipe that image out of their minds now. Rove=White House Leaker......

They told him the Supreme Court Nomination has been moved up and will be announced in the next few days to get the heat off of Rove and Libby.

12. He seemed, well, 'effusive' today...
His long, non-answers seemed not so much combative as "gee, I just can't wait to unload the stink-bomb we've got lined up to get us off the hook!" I just hope I'm wrong on that one.

13. I didn't get that impression -- I think he's accepted his rep is toast
and is now playing the "happy idiot". He's also probably going on a vacation when BraindeadLeader goes to Crawford in August, so he's just counting the days til he can pass the podium to whoever fills in at the WhiteTrash WhiteHouse.

14. Well he probably saw the video of himself with that .....
Deer in the Headlight look on his face.
Then took all weekend to practice in the mirror the cool confident look.
Perception is everything!

15. Maybe he's decided to quit
Maybe he's made his decision and now all he has to do is tread water for a few days and then go to that cushy PR job they have lined up for him at Halliburton.

17. They probably feel confident that Karl will walk scott free.
Bush was quiet until recently on whether or not he would fire Rove, now he's saying he will if Rove is convicted. That means they are 99% sure he will walk. This admin gets away with murder.

18. Bush moved the goal posts back so that Scotty is now suddenly back
on the same team as Rove. It was vewy, vewy ..scary. Scott knew that between him and Rove...they would have dumped him and made him the liar even though his whole promotion was obviously about getting rid of Ari (who knew too much to lie) and hiring a lamb.

Now Bush has moved the posts and issued a royal edict: Only if they indite do they care.

But then some reported asked Scotty if "he though that Rove should issue an apology to Valerie Plame for destroying her career and attacking her". He was not happy at that point. Nobody told him how to answer that one.

19. LOL, he struck me as someone who knows it is all falling down
and he is going to spout his 'lines' until he is no longer paid to do so. He looked resigned rather than smug or confident, imo.
