The buck stops WHERE?On October 2, 1945 a sign was created for and mailed to President Truman, which he subsequently put on his desk in the Oval Office and displayed for the remainder of his administration.
http://www.trumanlibrary.org/buckstop.htmMister Bush, when you first ran for President Of The United States, your platform stated that if elected yours would be the Responsibility Administration, and would be a model for the future administrations of this country. Yet as of this moment, five and a half years later, you have not stood up and taken even indirect responsibility for as much as one single failure by you or anyone in the Bush White House. So far you have lied, evaded, equivocated, dismissed, and even deflected the blame for each and every shortcoming and error that has occurred on your watch- you have even gone so far as to cast aspersions back onto the previous administration in an attempt to appear innocent of responsibility for your misguided actions.
Mister President, it is obvious that sign has no place on your desk. Indeed, the buck appears to go well out of its way to avoid the Oval Office. But it goes somewhere, Mister President. The buck must indeed ultimately land upon someone's desk.
My question to you, sir, is where DOES the buck stop? Who sits behind the desk fated to receive it? Where does it go? Since you've never met up with the buck yourself, can you give us the name of the official who actually deals with it when it comes in for a landing?
There are almost three hundred million people living in the United States at the present time, Mister President. And every single one of them want an answer from you.
President Bush, the buck stops
WHERE?
