On one hand, we've got certain prominent members of the media — The New York Times just for instance — screaming bloody murder that Karl Rove (search) exposed a super secret spy and he ought to be jailed for it.

I'm having a hard time recalling ANY media story that it "not didn't matter that Rove exposed her" or that she "hadn't been super secret for years". Can ANYONE find that supposed story by the media that Gibson is referring to? Anyone? Anyone?

I think this is just a figment in the not so fertile mind of Gibson. It's probably a FUX News story that was 5 lines long buried somewhere in the OTHER 5 line story they did about the DSM.

Gibson is a lying sack of shit. I'd REALLY like to meet Mr. Gibson some night in a dark parking lot. His hair helmet would never look the same, I can assure you.

Both legal advocacy and editorial advocacy are different from news reporting. But working for Fox, he would not have any familiarity with news reporting.

He also fails to point out that both the District Court and the Court of Appeals refused to accept the legal arguments of the media organizations that Plame was not covert. Perhaps he should explain why he omitted that fact.

an ideologue. Contradiction upon contradiction.

The corporate media was reluctant to cover the Rove story. But the media is liberal. The case against Rove is only a baseless smear. But it's backed up by evidence, and going through the legal system.

Try this on, John:

The case against Rove is a legal matter. Not spin. Not political bullshit. It's actual reality.

The corporate media is *not* liberal. They have a corporate slant, and, since the Republican Party is the party of unabashed corporatism, they are slanted in favor of Republicans.

They are finally covering the story, because it's become impossible to ignore- even for the shills. The Bush Administration is in *legal* trouble. This is big news.
