Gun manufacturers likely to get immunity from law suits. |

the average citizen who goes postal can't blame Smithh&Wesson for being a lunatic. Kudos.
That would be like sueing Ford for getting run over when you step into traffic.

It eliminates a bunch of frivolous lawsuits in my opinion. It doesn't shield them from suits because of faulty products or negligence on their part.

3. OK, I read the link, but I want to know what liability is being eliminated |
|
by this bill?
Last year, I heard it was liability for someone who uses their product in a crime. I happen to agree with that. A mfg. shouldn't be resposible for what some idiot does with their product if it hasn't malfunctioned. That would be like sueing Henckels because some lady stabbed her husband with one of their knives!
What will this bill really do?

4. Wouldn't it take away the liability when |
|
guns somehow end up in the hands of those who do not have a license to sell them and, therefore, the proper procedures of running a check on the buyer are not taken? Are guns being sold on the sly to these unlicensed sellers?
