Karl Rove just sucked the life out of the Downing Street Memo.. |
|
didn't he? And now, with the pretty sparkly shiny distracting Supreme Court nominations coming to roost, viola, no more kkkarl, no more Downing scandals.
I just love Uhmurrikkkuh under a bush!

We must continue to hammer this as often as possible. I've read quite a bit about Fitzgerald, although I have confidence in his integrity, I'm still slightly concerned that someone might get to him. I argue with myself that if he can stand up to the Mafia, we have a chance, but of course the bu$hits have longer tentacles than the mafia. Can't lose hope, can't stop working to keep the story front and center.

The media is beginning to connect rovegate with DSM. Stock up on popcorn because the show is about to begin.

7. I do believe you are correct |
|
Between Plame-outing, the now publicly acknowledged, concerted attack on Joe Wilson, the growing quagmire in Iraq, and the Memos, even people like Elisabeth Bumiller would have to take notice. Well, maybe not her.
I would vote against popcorn for two reasons. It gets stuck in between my teeth, and this is too deadly serious for the country. With people like Karl Rove and Dick Cheney feeling cornered, who knows what they will do to save themselves? They have no ethics, no morals, no scruples and no fear or regrets, if they bring down our country simply to save their own skins.

4. The DSM and Rovegate are inseperable......... |
|
in the big picture, they all tie in quite nicely with the White House's penchant for lying, revenge (that's what Iraq was all about in a nutshell, revenge. Same with Plame) and just plain old stupidity. This IS NOT going away, believe me. There's still a "journalist" (although it pains me to say that about Miller) in jail. The media feels wounded, abandoned by their one time benefactors. They're not going to let it "go away" until there is some conclusion to this story, don't worry.

These stories are of a piece. Not to say any justice will come from them, but neither one is going to go away as long as Americans are getting killed or wounded in Iraq.

5. It's really up the the MSM |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 06:47 AM by Logician
and especially the Blogosphere not to let the Rove and DSM scandals to fade from America's consciousness. We cannot let citizens forget all the posturing and subtle changes in Bush-speak to enable Karl to remain in power. After all, now he needs to be convicted of a crime to be fired! Bush has no morals, no intention of firing anyone who is unethical, unless of criminal status-- if he or she is a loyal and valuable friend of Shrub.
And now the nominee for the Supremes to replace O'Connor will be named this day, to throw more news into the mix and to dilute the impact of the current scandals. And on the MSM, the top choice for the Supremes is among two women who are quite conservative, and one of whom has no paper trail to trace her political leanings......quite Rovian, no?
We need to keep the pressure on the Bush administration. They are counting on diversion, and America's short attention span for scandals....still a majority of Americans polled in the last couple of days believe the Rethugs are better equipped to handle the war on terror-- in the face of the DSM, the lies which led us into a war that has only intensified hatred for the US and increased recruitment of new terrorists-in-training.

But Tweety cut her right off.

12. I agree... how could we let this happen???? |
|
Nobody outside of Washington and these political forums knows or cares who Karl Rove is. We let the media drop the DSM issue, after so many of us put our necks on the line to sign the petition. This Karl Rove issue is very serious, but does not resonate with regular people. We need to get in focus NOW--leave the Karl Rove traiter thing in Washington where it belongs--let someone in Congress/the Senate work behind the scenes on it. Kerry really let us down. Why have we not heard more from him about the DSM?

16. Kerry let us down because he was the only Senator willing |
|
to do anything about the DSM?
Would you like clarifying such a nonsensical statement?
And what do you mean nobody outside of DC cares about Karl Rove? Have you been paying attention? It's all over the tv! Have you seen Bush's poll numbers? This IS resonating with the American people. The Rove story is the foot in the door of the DSM. It's all connected.

What it takes is a democratic candidate telling it like it is. The slick advertising is getting tiresome. "People don't be fooled"

17. The story doesn't seem to be harming bush, at all. Rove has |

become a lighting rod to deflect criticism from bush. Most of America still has no idea of who KKKarl is or what he has done.
