People are under the impression Republicans are fiscally conservative |
|
They are always calling us big spenders when they are the ones that support unfunded mandates and huge tax cuts and think the deficit is okay. The Democrats in Congress act more fiscally responsible, John Spratt and others are always warning the Repukes that their budgets can cause problems.

9. They never acknowledge that Clinton balanced the budget. |

He's still the anti-christ because he reduced military spending. The fact that our economy was at an all time high was pure luck but the current deficit and slow economy is all because of Clinton.

2. This notwithstanding by far the major portion of all Federal debt is |
|
due solely to the fiscal and tax policies of the Gipper, Bush I, and Bush II. Go figure.

3. Credit Card Republicans |

was coined here a while back (and I have not stake in taking credit for it - someone else originated the term).
Spend now, let your grandkids pay later - this is the true "death tax"

6. They call us "big spenders" because we spend money we actually have |
|
and, therefore, we have to tax the wealthy (by that, I mean ask them to pay at least part of their fair share).
Meanwhile, the Republicans spend, but they don't "use taxpayer money". They use daddy's credit cards.

8. It has more to do with how their taxes are spent it seems |

If it's on war, no problem! Even illegal, unnecessary ill-planned ones...but it drives them crazy if their taxes are spent on education or any type of social welfare program. Nothing pisses them off more than that.

10. Republicans always borrow and spend. They are fiscally irresponsible |
|
and ravage the national budget and the economy, leaving a huge mess for Democrats to clean up after Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public realize that the republicans have ripped them off and they vote the thugs out of office.
Republicans have a terrible fiscal track record, and it is a testament to the gullibility of the American people that the republicans can con them into electing them again not very long after they blatantly ripped America off big time
