2. Edwards on Bill Maher?
This might be almost as good as the sox clinching the playoffs,

almost

although Michael Moore did say one of Kerry's flaws as a candidate was that he killed people in Vietnam, so god knows what he'll say about a horrible southern moderate like Edwards

3. That is so off base
Kerry was a soldier. Moore makes it sound like he enjoyed killing people. Then again, given that he is a Nader extremist, why am I not suprised?

7. Yeah, me too...
But he has become a staunch dem supporter - essentially saying lets get Bush out then the progressives can haggle over the small details.

8. That doesn't cut it for me
Moore still hasn't admitted that he was wrong. Maybe if he actually apologized to Gore and his family I would respect him again. I liked Moore a lot before the 2000 election.

I know that the Nader extremists and the Moore worshippers will get angry when I say that. But that's how I feel.

12. But others don't
And they get really venemous when I remind them of Moore's past behavior. The man can do no wrong in their eyes.

16. I see that, too, but I'm not sure Moore really has that much influence...
...if he did, he just gave Clark the Green vote last week.

17. In race that was as narrow as it was in 2000
Moore's actions were clearly detrminental.

13. Yes he has admitted he was wrong. He did before the 2000 election
when he broke with the Nader campaign over actively campaigning in close states, especially florida. He publicly asked Nader not to campaign in florida.

19. Too litte, too late
And in his book Stupid White Men he said he "would do it again". He had been attacking Gore and the Democrats for months on end. By then the damage was done. Sensing the disaster that was about to follow Moore tried pathetically to distance himself from the events that were about to transpire.

9. right, he really can say warped things sometimes
Because he can be so inflammatory, annoying, and intellectually lazy,

he turns informed liberals moderate, and informed moderates conservative.

Errors, and exagerations from his works are well documented, making anything from them less credible

and as Greg Giraldo like's to say, "If you want to base your life on crusading against the excesses of capitalism, maybe you shouldn't wiegh 400 pounds"

18. Errors, and exagerations from his works are well documented? Where?

The big rightwing "debunking" of Bowling for Columbine was itself debunked.

Depends on who you want to believe.

14. Maher is fast becoming my most look forward to show
although Edwards' appearance is not well timed as he just hasn't caught fire.

20. What would better timing be?
before? Later?

Edwards campaign is not over yet.

He has a ways to go, but he can still win SC. I think Clark will take more away from Leiberman and Dean there than Edwards.

22. Thanks for the reminder
I'm an admirer of both McGruder and Moore. As a middle-aged white woman, I find that young black men are the most vocal about views I hold. I've always had a kinship with black female politicians. I live in Cynthia McKinney's district...now represented by Denise Majette. So that relationship has been there a long time. But now, when I listen to callers on Washington Journal who identify themselves as young black males, and when I see the guests on Maher's show, I find they are so representative of my beliefs. It's probably not even a race/gender/age issue. But just articulate people who see the world's problems in a way I understand and appreciate.
