Who is the worst person Bush could nominate?
Because, you know, Bush will probably nominate him/her.

8. Bush choose whichever candidate most likely to...
...take the heat of the Plame story. Forget making a reasonable choice; its all politics and spin, and if he can embroil everyone in a furor over his nominee that takes the spotlight off Rove and Co, that's exactly what he'll do to meet his short term goals.

9. Priscilla Owen
or Janice Rogers-Brown. Anyone who substitutes her own opinion for the constitution.

JMO. I think Edith Clement would actually not be a bad choice.

29. The 11 year old who writes the uber-reich wing opinion pieces. . .
can't (won't) think of his name, but he was the darling of the hate-wing a year or two back. He'd be as malleable as Thomas and could sit on the bench for decades and decades to come.

And Shrub could do it, too. Of the three branches of government, only the judicial has no specified requirements for its members.

That would be a slap in the face of half of the country.

But I think it will be Jones. He needs to fill the vacancy with a woman and he's managed to find the most RW one possible.
