Right now, the * admin is in tatters in the public eye and the Dems could capitalize so the goal is to make the Dems and left seem unstable, unfair, radical by forcing them to fight the extremist hard. I think it would backfire beautifully. The country is already down on the crooks and it will be just another sign of how far they will go to get what they want without taking into consideration the needs and desires of the people they are supposed to be serving.
