She takes up all the time alloted to the guest informing that

I like a lot of her stuff, but I hate her interviews.

She is well-informed and does her research.

I like her a lot. But I always cringe when she does an interview with someone I want to hear from (or even any of the good guys I don't particulary want to hear from). She tends to be a bit of 'see what I know' type and doesn't like ANYONE to disagree on the smallest point. She is usually right about her opinions, but not always.

12. I think she does a great job of maintaining focus.

People, no matter what walk of life, often have difficulty with the sharp focus necessary to get out a message IME. I appreciate that she stays on point.

Besides, she's a progressive talk show host. She's SUPPOSED to talk a lot. :7

...she at least ADMITS on air that she's not a journalist, so she's entitled to screw up from time to time, in my opinion...sometimes I think we liberals and progressives act like Air America has been on for 20 years. This whole endeavor has only been around a little over a year, give it time to work the bugs out! Randi may overrun her callers at times, but like I said, she gave Joe Wilson time to express his views-think Loofah Boy or Colmes's Pimp would have refrained from interrupting him? Jerry Springer-give him time! We gave the RIGHT all the time they needed to get their shizzle together, we need to do the same for OUR side!

,...in spite of the fact she's a radio talk show host.

Personally, I find her discipline incredibly refreshing.

I'm glad you pointed that out. I'm afraid the poor woman does this as a defense mechanism, after fighting for so long with Fundie callers. I think she's learned to just out-yell the caller, and that gets rid of 'em.

It's too bad, because she does it with everyone: friend or foe. I recall one time she was interviewing Richard Dreyfus, and after about 10 minutes of this, he finally became disgusted and let her have it.

Too bad.
