Poll question: POLL: What percentage of Democrats are corporate whores?
or chamber of commerce types just in it for the revolving door, contracts for friends, etc?

I really have no idea, so I'm curious what others think.

Any evidence as well as impressions would be helpful too.

6. Its a high number
If you mean pandering to moneyed interests to get $$ for the next campaign? The number is close to 100% then

Even the guys who hate doing it wind up having to do it. The man on the street is not going to pay the huge $$ it takes these days to run a major campaign but the corporate world has the money and is willing to spend it too

11. In a red state yes, but in a blue state, the parasite
needs to find a host that will survive the election.

2. Call me cynical,
but I think they're just about all in somebody's pocket. The difference is that Democrats don't cater to EVERY whim of their corporate handlers.

5. Yeah. You can't go wrong with Newman's Own, Burt's Bees, and
Ben n Jerry's. They are some examples of decent corps.

4. I would say that
the percentage is highest on the Hill, but that it's probably true at the state and municipal level to some degree as well.

As far as rank and file dems, I think the percentage of corporatists is fairly low.

8. c.f. Dye & Zeigler, "The Irony of Democracy"
One of the things that makes dealing with it so difficult is that it's near-impossible to tell which elites they represent because the two-party charade erases the underlying meanings. Proportional representation would fix this, but ask yourself who does and doesn't want it fixed.
