If Rove is gone will Bush's numbers go up? |
|
I suspect there are plenty of Americans who think Bush is a decent if not-too-bright guy, and of those I'll bet most think Rove SWAYED Bush to do bad things.
It's stupid, I know, but I think Bush has benefited in public perception from the not-too-bright thing.
So if he does ditch Rove, will his approval ratings go up?
A caller on Randi last week said we should hope to keep Rove around as a taint on the administration. Randi disagreed with him - and i did too. Certainly America would be better served without this traitor in the White House. But I am beginning to wonder if it's more harmful to Bush to keep him around.

2. People who pay attention will be happy to see Rove go, but how |
|
long do you think the Presidunce can stay afloat without his PR machine? The man is all marketing.
Bush may get a little bump- and I mean a *small* one- by letting Rove go, but the long-term effects will be very detrimental to him.

Without Rove, there are no smokescreens, no distractions, just pure naked vulnerable Shrub (yech, now i can't get that image out of my mind).

4. Bush would no more get rid of Rove... |
|
than he would amputate his own left leg or spoon out (what's left of) his own brain.
Rove is a big, fat, ugly albatross hanging around Georgie's scrawny neck, and there he shall remain.
